The need for help in the immediate area of Dar es Salaam and the Coastal regions of Tanzania is immense. As a result of the AIDS epidemic, it is not uncommon for a grandmother to be the sole provider for 10 grandchildren. For an elderly woman that is already impoverished, this is close to impossible… however, the strength of these women allows their families to survive.
